9A Class Trip to Levi, 25.3-29.3. 2012

We had very high expectations for our class trip so we were all really excited. The trip began with a 10 hour journey by bus. We sang songs, watched movies, talked a lot, laughed and had fun, so the time just flew by. We arrived at our cottage near the Levi centre in the evening. The place was great.
On Monday morning we woke up early as we were eager to get to the slopes. The weather wasn’t that good but the company was great! We were downhill skiing for the first three hours and then we went for lunch at a place called Hullu Poro. After lunch some of us went back to the slopes, and the others went to the spa or skiing. We had a great time together. In the evening we were all tired so we just hung out with each other.
On Tuesday we had some free time in the morning. Most people went to the Levi Center to do some shopping. We had lunch together and then we went to a Husky Park. There we saw some really cute huskies, wolves, and also a lonely reindeer. We also got to ride in a husky sled. In the evening we went to eat in a great restaurant called Taivas. We ate there every evening and the food was fantastic. We also went to the spa where we could choose whether to go swimming or bowling. At night we just hung out and talked.
Early Wednesday morning we left for Pallastunturi to go skiing and snowshoeing. After skiing we went to a great Lapp hut and fried some sausages, pancakes and marshmallows. It was so much fun. After that we went to the Pallas visitor center to watch a film about Lapland. Then we went off to the sauna, and after that we headed back to Levi. It was a one hour drive back and everybody was tired and hungry. We went to eat at the Taivas restaurant again and we saw Frederik! Some of us then went to the bowling center to watch the Kalpa ice hockey game, and others went back to the cottage to pack. After that we all sang some Singstar together. It was the best night of the trip and even our math teacher Jani sang with us! Everybody was really happy, but then during the night people started to get stomach flu.
Early Thursday morning we started our journey back home. Everybody was really tired, so for the first two hours we all just slept.  But the last hours of the trip were fun, in spite of the horrible feeling that the trip would be over really soon! We all started feeling quite sad, but it was the best trip our class has ever had!
